TOP 96 Testing Written Player Evaluations
Player evaluations both written and verbal are one of the most important aspects of our clinics.
Our coaches use a customized “Player Evaluation Card” to provide a realistic written evaluation for each player and to write brief comments on the player’s performance and suggestions for improvement. Every player in the clinic is pre-assigned to a college coach for all of his Day 1 evaluations. At the conclusion of Day 1, the position players and secondary pitchers who throw a "bullpen" session on Day 1, will meet with their evaluating coach individually and spend a few minutes with him reviewing their evaluation card.
Pitchers will be evaluated on game day. One of our pitching coaches will evaluate each game day pitcher by observing his warm-up session and one inning on the mound. The coach will prepare a written evaluation and review it with the pitcher after he finishes his inning of pitching.
Catchers will also be evaluated during the games to compare their mechanics and pop times under game situations to their workout on day one.
